Background: Temporomandibular joint internal derangement is the most common among the temporomandibular disorder. Conservative management (physical therapy and pharmacotherapy) are supportive primary management for TMJID. For refractory cases minimal invasive procedures like Arthrocentesis and arthroscopy are the options but have limited efficacy. In recent past, platelet-rich plasma have been proposed for the management of TMJID with promising efficacy in limited studies.
